Contemporary Museum 10/28/08

What an awful day for a photo shoot. The vog made the colors dull, but here are the results, with some help from photoshop elements.
There was an exhibit called something like the "benchmark" made up of different versions of benches.This ceramic frog look pretty cute, although didn't know what it had to do w/ benches.The vog was so bad, it made the sun look like the moon.

Bishop Museum 10/25/08

I've not been to the Bishop Museum since I was in 5th grade and it was nice to visit again. There are a lot of exhibits and a vast amount of photo opportunities. The variety of lighting in each exhibit again created quite a challenge to me. Here's my study in depth of field.This bird in a brightly lit exhibit was made of magnetic tape.A lot of exhibits were in relative darkness.Closeup of item in a glass case with lighting from the side.Here's a totem pole shot shot at an angle. Downtown Tour 10/18/08

Toured the downtown architecture this weekend. It was overcast then sunny; dark indoors then bright outside. All the different conditions made it a very challenging shoot.
Looks like dust on my lens..but then it wasn't there in the other shots..

The Cubes

They are called The Cubes. My friend got me into these and my nephew likes to play with them.. They're pretty funny..on the box, it reads "In this office, you're the boss!"
