I had the opportunity to take more Christmas photos for my friend. Kids are difficult subjects since they get bored or tired easily because they're bored. After a bunch of shots I was able to get just a couple of good ones. Even though it was during the day, this area was really dark and my shutter speed was really slow on aperture priority and I had to use my flash.
I decided to get creative after seeing Jalna's and Erick's blogs of their photo session and told one of the kids to jump off the short ledge. After a few tries, I was able to get one that was not blurry. He was tired from all that jumping, but still had lots of fun. So I've come to the conclusion that as long as they're having fun, that's all that really matters.

Wow, great portrait shot of the three kids! I really like the jumping shot, sharp, great expression. You are right he looks like he is having fun and that really is what the holiday season is all about. Fun!
Those shots are gonna make a really cute Christmas card!!
