I had seen photos of NPAC performances on Celia's and Erick's blogs but never got a chance to go out to Nanakuli to see them perform. I finally got the chance thanks to Celia who offered to drive :D and was surprised to find out it was a broadway play: Godspell. I was SO impressed by these kids who gave 110% and more to their performances and the great direction by their teacher Mr. Robin Kitsu. I was blown away by everyone that I started to focus a lot my shots on each individual's performance. From the joy I saw in the kids' faces, I could tell that this is truly a special program and I was glad to have had the privilege to capture it with my lens.
In this scene, there was a single spot light and it was really dark but I kept shooting anyways and I was able to capture this shot.In one scene the lights turned florescent blue. I decided to turn the photo B&W and I think it gave it more dramatic feel.

Really nice pictures - and I have to ask you how did you get so much light. All my pictures are really dark - that is why I am still working on them. NPAC will be really happy to get your pictures. Great job - I am glad you agree these young performers give their 110%.
Nice coverage of the play. I like the black and white shot, great mood shot!
Great job Shun Wah!!!
Great editing. That single spot light turned out to be a great shot. Loved the colors too.
