My First Canon 50d Shots - 4/19/09

I finally broke my piggy bank and got a 50d!! After much prodding and encouragement from my photo buddies, I ordered it from Amazon and it finally arrived this past Tuesday. I started to read my manual (...zzzz) and then decided to just take it on a test drive using my 50mm lens to see if I can still find the same settings I've been using on my XT.
I started out taking a photo of a hibiscus plant my dad had bought. Then my dad got into my picture taking and told me to take pictures of his other plants. Hence, here are my first shots using my 50d. The new LCD is really bright and easy to see...what a difference.
Although these violets are dark purple, it always turn bluish in color when I take a picture of it.
These are also purple, but they turn light pinkish in tone.
My dad is really into bonsai, but they don't usually last so he asked me to take a photo of it.

Very nice! The resolution is much better and the colors look richer too. Aren't you glad you finally got the 50D. Now you can't use your XT as an excuse.
Great flower shots!
